Ex-Political Adviser Dies At Age 82
Otice Green, who served as chief of staff for Texas Gov. Preston Smith in the early 1970s and advised other South Plains politicians in their campaigns over more than five decades, died early Sunday in his Lubbock home after a long battle with cancer.

African-American Pharmacists Honored In Banquet
The Texas Tech and Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Black Faculty and Staff Association hosted a banquet at the Tech Law School in celebration of Black History Month.

Roger Bombach Jr., M.D., has opened his practice at the Pauls Valley Medical Center. Dr. Bombach completed his post graduate training in 1980 with a family residency at the TTUHSC School of Medicine.
